If you’re looking for possibly the best character meal at Walt Disney World, look no further than Topolino’s Terrace – Breakfast à la Art with Mickey and Friends, located at Disney’s Riviera Resort. We’ve dined here many times, and it’s always a wonderful experience.
Table Service: Reservation required (available 60 days in advance). This is a very popular meal, so you’ll have better chances of getting a reservation later in your trip.
Pricing: $54 per adult / $35 per child (ages 3–9)

The restaurant offers incredible rooftop views, along with amazing food and fun character interactions. It’s very popular, so an advanced dining reservation is required—currently available 60 days in advance.
You can get to Topolino’s Terrace by car (with a reservation), bus, or the Skyliner. If you’re staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, it’s just a short walk over.

Upon entering Topolino’s Terrace, we were greeted with lively music and a fun, energetic atmosphere. The restaurant is impressive, with gorgeous chandeliers, cozy booths, and a wall of windows offering beautiful views, yet it still feels warm and inviting.
We were led to our table and made sure Audrey sat at the end so she could easily take pictures with the characters and interact with them. Most drinks are included with your meal, with options like POG juice (a mix of passionfruit, orange, and guava—the absolute best!), other juices, sodas, and coffee.
They also offer specialty drinks and cocktails for an additional purchase, including Mimosas, Bellinis, and Bloody Marys.

After ordering our drinks, our server brought over a basket of assorted pastries and took our drink orders.
The pastry basket included croissants, mini chocolate chip muffins, and a few Danish-style filled pastries. They were served with spreads—honey butter, chocolate-hazelnut, and a strawberry jam that Audrey loved. The pastries themselves were simple but decent, and they were really tasty with the spreads.

As the music and announcements played for the characters’ entrances, I immediately noticed the smiles on everyone’s faces, including every dad in the restaurant! Now that Audrey is older, we don’t visit many character meals, so it was fun to see guests of all ages enjoying the lively atmosphere.
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy made their way around the tables, dancing, giggling, and taking plenty of pictures with each group.

There are many great entrees on the menu. One recent change at Topolino’s is that each guest can now order only one entrée, though they will sometimes provide a side of the Sour Cream Waffles if you ask. (Your mileage may vary with this!)
We all ordered the Wood-Fired Steak and Eggs, which comes with polenta, breakfast potatoes, and two eggs any style. The steaks were very tender and flavorful, making this one of the best entrees you can order. The polenta is my personal favorite!

We took our time enjoying the meal and managed to see every character, all within about an hour. During that time, the characters entered twice and posed for pictures at each table. Our server never rushed us, and we even lingered a bit to admire the beautiful views before leaving.

After breakfast, we headed out to the terrace to take in the stunning views. The Riviera Resort is beautiful, and you’ll want to take some time to explore—gorgeous mosaic murals, fountains, and gardens make it worth a stroll.
The best part after our meal was heading downstairs to the Skyliner to Epcot. From the Riviera, you can easily take the Skyliner to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot, making it a super convenient place to dine.
If you’re visiting Epcot or Hollywood Studios one morning, consider booking a late breakfast at Topolino’s (around noon). You can then head to the park via Skyliner and return effortlessly afterward.

Overall, we are always happy with the quality of the food and the fun interactions with the characters. Character meals can be expensive, but this one felt like a great value given the incredible food, gorgeous atmosphere, and unique costumes.
We highly recommend Topolino’s Terrace – Breakfast à la Art with Mickey and Friends!
