Topolino’s Terrace is a signature dining restaurant located on the 10th floor of Disney’s Riviera Resort. It offers beautiful rooftop views of the resort, the Skyliner, and even EPCOT and Hollywood Studios off in the distance. The restaurant gets its name from the Italian word for Mickey Mouse. They serve a character breakfast here—which just happens to be my favorite character meal and one I highly recommend—and a non-character dinner. In this review, I’ll be focusing on dinner. We’ve eaten here several times, and it’s consistently been a great experience.

Disney describes Topolino’s- “For dinner, get ready to indulge in fresh, delicious seafood and meat dishes, handmade pasta, and decadent desserts infused with French and Italian flavors at this signature rooftop dining experience straight from the Riviera.” 

When you arrive, you’ll take the elevator up to the 10th floor. As you walk into the restaurant, you’re immediately met with gorgeous views from the wall of windows. After your meal, be sure to head out to the rooftop terrace to take in the scenery and snap some amazing photos. You can even catch the fireworks from a distance at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. They don’t play the music like they do at California Grill, but the views are still incredible.

Topolino’s is a great choice for the whole family. It feels a bit more casual and less formal than some of the other signature dining spots, while still offering beautiful views and an a la carte menu that’s consistently delicious. They have a kids’ menu with a few options, but you can also ask for something simple like plain pasta if that’s more their style.

Check-In Process

You’ll enter the Riviera and take the elevator to the 10th floor. You can check-in via the My Disney Experience app, or at the podium. They will text you or call your name when it’s time to be seated. 

Now, let’s get into the drink and food offerings!

DRINKS

Topolino’s has a very impressive wine collection from the Mediterranean coast, and gorgeous cocktail creations, including Zero Proof options. 

One of the most popular drinks is the Pomegranate Paradiso– Figenza Fig Vodka, Lemon, Pomegranate, and Pineapple. 

They are also known for their Modern Fashioned– Knob Creek Rye Whiskey, Appleton Estate Reserve Blend Rum, Vanilla Bean, Bitters. It even comes with a resort-branded ice cube. This is Edward’s favorite!

The Espresso Martini is also very popular, and one of the best on property. If you don’t see it on the menu, you can always ask for it.

Audrey chose the Peach Repose– a non-alcoholic specialty drink of peach, mint, lemon, and soda water.

I was so excited to see they offered Zero Proof options and went with the Bee’s Knees, made with Lyre’s Pink London non-alcoholic gin, lemon juice, and honey. It was outstanding. It didn’t taste like gin at all to me, which is a plus for those of us who don’t drink. It felt like a more elevated option compared to the usual overly sweet non-alcoholic drinks. It was so good that Audrey asked for mine, so I ended up ordering another. For this trip, we were on the Disney Dining Plan, so it was a nice bonus to be able to choose a more expensive drink and get the most out of the plan. 

BREAD SERVICE

Dinner starts with a complimentary French bread service, presented with an Italian olive oil for dipping which is very good. 

STARTERS

One of the most popular appetizers is the house-made Ricotta, with tomato, aged balsamic, cracked pepper, and basil. This is outstanding, and very filling.

The Olives Marinées are a must on each visit as well. 

Another favorite is the Gnocchi– braised lamb shoulder, red wine jus, and carrots. This is delicious.

ENTREES

The Filet Mignon is very popular, served with truffle pomme puree, asparagus, chanterelles, and bordelaise. It’s always cooked perfectly and very tender. The pomme puree (potatoes) are outstanding.

The Classic Sole Meuniere– capers, baby squash, cauliflower, and petite potatoes is also a favorite of mine. Such a delicious pairing of flavors.

The Sea Scallops are my go-to, served with winter squash risotto, spiced pepitas, and vegetable brodo. The scallops are perfectly caramelized, and the risotto is always delicious. 

The Braised Lamb Shank with artisan polenta, Swiss chard, glazed carrots, lamb bacon is another favorite of Edward’s.

The Rigatoni is one of the most popular dishes as well- served with braised chicken sugo, broccolini, pancetta, wild mushrooms, and black truffle.

Audrey loves their Rigatoni, but requests a simple version of it, which is a great option for a pickier eater. 

I love their Brussels sprouts– red peppers, and harissa vinaigrette. I often choose this with a few appetizers as my meal.

DESSERTS

The Warm Chocolate Cake was our favorite at the table- served with a caramel center, chantilly, and raspberries. It’s very rich and decadent, definitely something to share.

I had the Vanilla and Citrus Creme Brulee with morello cherry compote, strawberry foam, sugared beignets, and chocolate meringues. I thought this was good, but certainly not a favorite creme brulee for me. (Le Cellier in EPCOT has the best creme brulee in my opinion).

Edward chose a Vanilla Bean gelato that was outstanding. Simple, but delicious. 

Overall, we are always pleased with our meals here and love the atmosphere. The Riviera is also very convenient if you’re staying on the Skyliner (Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century, or Art of Animation) or at a Crescent Lake resort (Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk, Swan and Dolphin). Or if you’re visiting EPCOT, simply exit from the International Gateway (the back exit), and take the Skyliner to the Riviera. 

We’d highly recommend a visit to Topolino’s for either the character breakfast or dinner. You won’t be disappointed!
